My dogs are my babies. As you probably already know, I have a boxer (her name is Daisy) and a tiny toy poodle (her name is Zoey). So I am happy to be able to celebrate National Dog Week!
Can I start by saying, I absolutely love that there is a whole week devoted to celebrating our sweet furr babies! Our home would be so different without our 2 dogs and I can’t even imagine our lives without them. I just love how they are always so excited to be with us and they are just so full of love. I have always been in awe of how unconditionally dogs love. They really are the best example of this.
My dog Daisy is very protective of her family but is so sweet and soft with my kids. Boxers really are great with kids. If you are ever thinking of the best dog to get for kids, a boxer is it. But a word of warning, they are FULL of energy and training them can be a lot of work. But in my experience, it is all worth it. She is such a gentle and loving dog. She has put up with both of my kids being rough babies and toddlers and has never ever been angry with them. Even with our toy poodle, she is so careful and plays so gently with her. It is seriously impressive to see a big dog act this way.
Her favorite toys are tennis balls. She was so happy to get her new Beneful Tennis Ball that has a squeaker in it. She has never had a tennis ball with a squeaker in it, she has been running around the house with it in her mouth squeaking it. So cute!
Our little Zoey is my little cuddle bug. She loves to cuddle and be held, much like a little baby. She loves to curl up on me and put her little head next to my face or under my chin. My daughter can’t get enough of holding and cuddling her.
I LOVE my furr babies so much!
