I received these books to review from Peter Pauper Press all opinions are my own. We love books at our house, especially ones that have beautiful pictures to help tell the story. Hank Has A Dream Children’s Book is darling! It was an easy read for my eight year old but she absolutely loved the pictures!
“In this poetic tale, Hank dreams that he can fly. Together with Hank and his little friend, readers set sail gliding through Hank’s world as he discovers the wonders of flight and the magic of friendship. How far will Hank fly? What will he see? How high will he go? The enchanting images of author Rebecca Dudley’s meticulously crafted dioramas set the scene for this gentle fantasy as the dreamland mysteries capture his friend’s imagination. Rebecca Dudley’s highly praised, hand-crafted dioramas and characters — combined with minimal text — highlights the magic of friendship and lets young readers’ imagination soar.”
I instantly knew this book would be great, not only for enjoyment at home, but in a learning environment too! As a daughter and granddaughter of retired Elementary Teachers, I have seen how hard they work in their evenings and on weekends to prepare fun and engaging materials. I was excited when I found out that there was a teachers guide that helped take some of the prep work out for teachers. Kindergarten and first grade will enjoy telling their own story of what is happening and it also can be used by teachers and homeschoolers in their curriculum.
“This gentle, uplifting fantasy by the author of the bestselling Hank Finds an Egg highlights the magic of friendship and lets young readers’ imagination soar. Rebecca Dudley’s highly praised, hand-crafted dioramas and characters — combined with minimal text — will entertain and delight.”
The enchanting images of Rebecca Dudley’s meticulously crafted dioramas set the scene for this gentle fantasy. I was so impressed that the author is a builder, creator, photographer, architect, and artist. She made everything that appears in the illustrations! After reading about how she does it I went back and read the book again and was amazed at the detail and beauty she had created.
My girls LOVE this Book! They have looked at it and read it over and over! Last night I heard Cameron my eight year old reading it to her little sister and telling her all about Hank and his dream that led him “all the way to the sea.” I went into check on them a little later and found them asleep on Devon’s bed. Cameron was still holding the Hank has a Dream book. It was so precious I had to snap a picture, I am sure she was dreaming of floating away with Hank! Copies of this and other of Rebecca Dudley books can be purchased on Amazon.
