I will be honest, the only reason why I wanted to see Godzilla in the first place was to see how cool the special effects were going to be. I had pretty low expectations for this film. I was surprised by the end of the movie that I liked watch the new Godzilla.
Godzilla was a very action packed film. It had awesome special effects. People were actually cheering and clapping during some of the monster fights. I also saw this in IMAX 3D and the action was even better. In my opinion, this is probably the best format to watch Godzilla in.
I will say that I wished the movie had a bit more plot. Basically this movie is monsters attacking monsters and humans are trying to save the world from the monsters and the destruction they are causing. If you are looking for a thought provoking film, this will not be it.
If you like monster movies with amazing special effects, Godzilla is definitely the movie for you.
Godzilla is rated PG-13 “for intense sequences of destruction, mayhem, and creature violence.” It is now playing in theaters. For more information about the film, you can go to the Godzilla official website.
