Game Time! Winning Moves Children’s Games Review

I’ve been trying to make it a priority to spend more quality time with my kids. As a mom, there always seems to be something to get done, whether it’s cleaning something, making dinner, or taking a much needed ‘mommy break’. But my kids deserve some time with their mom too so we’ve been hanging out. My kids really love organized games, but we never really had a big selection of them. We received several games from Winning Moves to review, and it has been really fun to play them as a family!

I was able to choose 3 different games from Winning Moves, and it was kind of difficult to pick my favorite three! Most of these games are ones that I played when growing up, and I wanted to choose them all so that I could introduce my kids to the games of my youth. I finally went with Crocodile Dentist, Pit, and LIFE and we have been having lots of fun with them!

Crocodile Dentist is a game that I have wanted to get my kids for quite a while. With my husband being a dentist, I thought it would be fun for my kids to play ‘dentist’ themselves as they tried to find which tooth was bother the crocodile. My kids (and I) have a lot of fun playing this game. While it is a bit different than the game I use to play, it is still exciting to anticipate the CHOMP of the crocodile’s mouth. It has a row of bottom teeth and each player takes a turn pushing one tooth down. If you choose the wrong (or right….however you like to look at it) tooth, your hand will get chomped on. We always laugh while playing this game and it is even perfect for my 2 year old daughter! This is a game that the WHOLE family can enjoy!

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring The Game of Life into our home. This has got to be one of my all time favorite games, and I remember begging someone to play with me when I was little. My girls and I broke this game out and had so much fun playing it. It’s definitely a game that an older child or adult has to play along so they can help pass out the money and such, but my girls totally got into it. We had fun earning money, spinning the wheel, and of course, adding peg people to our cars. The Game of Life is definitely a game that every child should get to play. Pit is one game that I hadn’t actually ever played. I have heard it is a really fun game though, and I wanted to get it for a game night with just the adults. My husband isn’t much of a game-player, but I roped him in to play this with me and we had fun. It will be a great game for when we have company and need something fun to do.
