I first learned the power that holding a large plush had in helping me to cope and calm down was when I was at an amusement park and my daughter won a large plush as a prize. I was feeling overwhelmed due to the crowds and holding her large prize plush helped quite a bit. Recently I was introduced to FluffyWeight a weighted plush designed to calm anxiety and shorten melt downs. It is perfectly weighted to feel like a nice big hug and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works for me.
It helped like the prize stuffed animal did but I found that the weight made a big difference to help even more than a standard stuffed plush does.
