Have you heard of the Softcard App? It is a FREE app you can use on your smartphone that lets you pay using your phone at participating retailers. I love how convenient it is to be able to use my phone to pay.
Softcard is currently available on Android and Windows devices with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless service providers.
Is Softcard as safe as using my cards? Yes definitely. “Softcard uses state-of-the-art technology and layers of security to protect your
information.”. Your cards and info are safe and secure with Softcard. Just to get into the Softcard app you have to use a pin. To make changes on the account or your cards you have to put in a password and answer a security question.
I have been trying out Softcard and I really like it. I found the signup process for Softcard very easy. You set up a serve account with American Express which is a pre-paid card (you are not signing up for any type of credit card). You can add your bank account and debit or credit card accounts to your serve pre-paid card. Then you can add money onto your serve card. You can also set limits to how much can be used if your purchases go over the amount you have in your serve account. But all the money comes from your cards or your accounts. This isn’t a credit card so there are no additional charges. You can also choose to not allow any amount that is over what is in your serve account.
I used Softcard for the first time at my local grocery store. When the cashier told me the total I just touched my phone to the pay pad (where you normally swipe your card).
The payment went through and then I got this message and the cashier handed me my receipt. I love how easy it was to use!
It is so much more convenient to use my phone rather than having to fumble through my purse to find my wallet, get my card out. It really makes paying much simpler. Another plus is that I always have my phone with me, but I have forgotten my wallet more than once.
I like that with Softcard you can put in your store loyalty cards as well so they are all stored in one convenient place and you don’t have to keep track of them all.
Another cool thing is that Softcard has Special Offers that will help you earn cash back and save when you purchase using Softcard. 
I like that you can save with special offers without having to carry around coupons.

Softcard has a cute little Mascot named Tappy. I like the little spots with him, they are fun.
