We were sent to review Earth to Echo and Leah absolutely loved it! Earth to Echo opens in Theaters today and I would highly recommend it!
Earth to Echo is about 3 friends just trying to have one last adventure together. Alex (played by Teo Halm), Munch (Played by Reese Hartwig) and Tuck (Played by Astro…Brian Bradley) are having to leave their neighborhood, friends and school. They come across something bizarre and that’s where the adventure begins. The 3 boys decided to ride their bikes into the unknown desert. Their phones all of a sudden started going bezerk and gave them a map which they decided to follow. That’s where the adventure begins.
Leah’s favorite part is when the boys find the little robot whom they named Echo and they started asking him questions like “do you eat humans”, “are you are friend” etc. I absolutely loved the subtle humor of this cute movie. Echo was really a friend that brought the boys even closer together and they realized that they could do anything together! The boys not only made a new alien friend they also met Emma (played by Ella Wahlestedt) who became an unlikely ally.
“Three young friends come to the aid of a mysterious visitor from a distant planet in this kid-friendly sci-fi adventure in the tradition of E.T. and The Goonies. Shortly after a massive construction project begins driving out the residents of their serene suburban neighborhood, best friends Tuck, Munch, and Alan notice that their mobile phones are being flooded with a series of enigmatic, encoded messages. Determined to discover the source of the code as their families, too, pack up and prepare to go their separate ways, the trio join up with their friend Emma, who attempts to help them convince their parents and the local authorities that something unusual is afoot. Unsurprisingly, their bizarre findings are disregarded as mere figments of their youthful imaginations. Meanwhile, in their race to find the source of the complex code, the four young friends encounter a benevolent extraterrestrial being that requires their help in order to get back to his home amongst the stars. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi” (Earth to Echo press release)
