I attended an advanced screening for my review. All opinions are my own.
“A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”
I am not very knowledgeable about the game Dungeons and Dragons. What I know about it comes from other references in pop culture. I was excited to see the movie because I thought it looked like a lot of fun. My brother and I loved watching Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
I thought that the storyline of the movie was excellent. It had the perfect mix of action scenes and humor. The storyline is easy to follow, even if you are not very familiar with the original game. I loved that the film never takes itself too seriously. I laughed a lot during this movie. It was fun from beginning to end.
I loved the whole cast in this movie. You could tell that they were all having a blast making this film. I really loved the dynamic between everyone, especially Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez.
This movie is rated PG-13 “for fantasy action/violence and some language.” There are a few moments that could possibly scare young kids such as dead bodies coming to life, scary moments with dark magic, and bloody gore during fight scenes. I would probably recommend this movie for ages 12 and up.
Overall, I loved Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I would happily watch it again. I recommend seeing it in theaters. I had so much fun watching it!
