Do you remember as a kid when you would hear the Ice Cream truck playing the music and get so excited?  I do!  What fond summer memories I have of enjoying ice cream with my friends and family.  I see the same excitement when my children hear the Ice Cream truck coming.  They squeal with delight and I love it!

I don’t know about you but I LOVE sitting outside on a hot summer night enjoying a delicious ice cream bar with my family.  I love that I can run into Walgreens and grab all our family favorites (mine is a Magnum bar, my kiddos love Popsicle bars, and my hubby loves Klondike) fast and easily without having to run to the grocery store.  Or wait around hoping that the ice cream truck will come (our ice cream truck has been MIA this summer so we can’t count on him).

I have found I can create just as much excitement (if not more) for my kids about ice cream than the ice cream truck.  I will say very enthusiastically “Who wants to have an ice cream party?!” Then I will chant/sing “Ice cream party, ice cream party” and we can grab out our favorite treat from the freezer.  Viola! Better than the ice cream truck (and a much better value buying them at Walgreens than from the truck I must add).
