I attended an advanced screening of this movie for my review.  All opinions are my own.

Charles Martin Smith, who directed “Dolphin Tale,” wrote the sequel and is again at the helm. It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson (Gamble) and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett (Connick, Jr.), rescued Winter. I really enjoyed the first Dolphin Tale movie and I have been excited to see the new sequel.  Although it was not as good as the first one, I think Dolphin Tale 2 will be a great movie for the whole family to enjoy.

My favorite thing about this movie were all of the cute animals.  It was fun to see the incredible dolphin, Winter, again on the screen.  My favorite new animal in the show was the newest dolphin named Hope.  Baby dolphins are so cute!

Make sure to stay through the whole ending of the movie.  Some people left right as the movie got over.  If you stick around, you get to see some real life footage of Winter and Hope interacting with people who are missing limbs.  I thought this was a very touching ending to the film.

I loved that they got all of the original cast to come back for this film.  Once again, it seemed like the cast was having fun.  I do wish they had Morgan Freeman in the film more.  He is not in it very much.

I did think that the movie was a bit slow in the middle and it was a lot cornier than the first film but it was still watchable.

Dolphin Tale 2 is a great film for the kids but also for mom and dad to enjoy.  I know that a lot of people in my showing really enjoyed the film.  It is a great film for the whole family to see together.

Dolphin Tale 2 gets bragging rights!
