I have two dogs, but they are so much more than dogs to me. They are my babies and I am their mommy. Seriously, I call myself their mom. As in “mommy is home!” etc…and they are the sweetest. Daisy is a boxer and Zoey is a toy poodle. They are adorable for sure, but they are more than just adorable. They are so much more.
They are sweet guardians of my new baby girl. They are patient and gentle and kind. They are my comfort when I am sad. They are a happy energetic greeting when I come home from a long day. They are always happy to be with us. In fact, as I sit here thinking of them, I realize I can’t think of a time they weren’t extremely excited for me to be home. In fact, they freak out. Like I am a major celebrity. Could you imagine the changes we would see in our lives if we took a cue from them and loved the people in our lives they way they do? They forgive immediately, they are super loyal, and always happy to be in our presence. What amazing animals dogs are. They are so much more than just dogs. They are family.
