We were able to attend and advanced screening and received this movie from Disney for my review, all opinions are my own.
“From the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” sets sail April 1, 2014.”-Disney

One of our reviewers Briann was able to take her daughter and some friends to an advanced screening of The Pirate Fairy at her local theater. Here is what they thought of the movie:
“Leah has been really excited for the new release of the movie The Pirate Fairy. So when I told her we would be getting a sneak peak she was so excited! Leah and I decided to take one of Leah’s friends and her Mom and they both thought the movie was super cute. The movie was incredibly well done, it’s one of my new favorite Tinkerbell movies. Zarina is a friend to Tinkerbell and all the other fairies. She works as a Dust Keeper, but something goes wrong and that’s when she decides to leave Pixie Hollow. Tinkerbell and her friends decide to find Zarina and they end up going on an adventure of their very own. My favorite part of the movie is when Zarina blows a special pixie dust into the other fairies and they all switch talents!
Leah decided she loved the little baby crocodile and all of the funny parts. I can’t wait to own this cute DVD, any Tinkerbell fan would love it as we have!”-Briann
My daughter LOVES Tinkerbell and was so excited to get The Pirate Fairy on Blu-ray Combo Pack. We sat down and watched the movie together and it did not disappoint! This is a very cute movie and a good story. My daughter who is almost 2 sat through the entire movie (which is big deal for her). She loved it and has asked to watch it again each day since it arrived. Even my 6 year old son enjoyed the movie.
It was fun to realize how they are tying in Peter Pan into this movie (I have been waiting for this since the first Tinkerbell). Check out The Pirate Fairy and Peter Pan Infographic to see how the two stories come together. Very fun!
