My boys and I were so excited to be able to review The Little Mermaid for you all!

The Opheum Theatre is GORGEOUS. Just being there is an experience in itself. We don’t get into the city of Minneapolis as much as I would like, so this was such a treat. Driving in and getting a great view of the skyline was exciting for everyone! Being there with all the lights and excitement is definitely a wonderful experience.

 

First of all, I definitely do not think it’s a show just for girls. My 5 and 6 year old boys LOVED it. They were clapping so excitedly, and the look of amazement on their faces was priceless. The special effects ROCKED!

Growing up, The Little Mermaid was my absolute favorite movie. So, let’s just say I was going to be a tough critic. But they totally lived up to my expectations and then some. I loved all the ways they used to make it seem like they were under water. I won’t give away the details, but it was cool! There were many original songs we all know and love, and a few new ones too.

The singing was phenomenal. Seriously, how can people sing like that? Flipping through the playbill, so many of the actors had a long list of amazing roles they’ve played in other productions. So, saying these were some talented folks is an understatement.

The Little Mermaid was definitely a great show for everyone in the family. I enjoyed it as much as my kids did.

It’s not too late to get your tickets! You will be so happy you took your family to such a fun show, and the memory will last forever.
