I was invited by Disney on an all expenses paid trip for my coverage of the #GoodDinoEvent, #ABCTVEvent, & #LionGuardEvent.
While I was in LA I was so lucky to have the chance to see The Good Dinosaur twice! Once at the Disney Studios theater, and again at the Red Carpet Premiere (read my post all about that experience). The first time I saw it, I loved it. The second time I loved it even more! There were even things I caught the second time that I hadn’t seen the first time. I love that it is so entertaining that I am even wanting to go see it again with my kids.
First off, the animation is GORGEOUS! Seriously beautiful and so realistic. I kept thinking, that can’t be animation, is it? The answer is yes, it is just such incredible animation it just looks so real.
The of course there is the story, it is a good one. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry. It has a message of finding your place, dealing with fears, love, forgiveness, and family. In fact there are so many great lessons that are taught in this movie, making it a great movie to discuss afterwards with your kids.
I really liked watching Arlo’s character evolve as well as Spot, and seeing their relationship change and progress is funny and sweet at the same time. The T-rexes are so great, I love their voices and characters. I thought the voice casting was perfect for each character in this movie and each actor’s voice brought the perfect personality to bring the character to life.
Most of all I love that it is a movie that you can take the whole family to, and everyone will enjoy it. I highly recommend taking the family to see it this Thanksgiving break. I can’t wait to take my kids to see it, and they are very excited for there chance to see it over the break as well.
Our writer/reviewer Briann also had the chance to attend an early screening with her daughters here is what she thought of the movie: “My girls and I absolutely loved The Good Dinosaur. It was a feel good movie that had us on the edge of our seats the entire time! Leah loved little Spot and Arlo was so brave and courageous. Arlo did a lot of growing up on his own and learned that he really can do it himself without anyone to help him. Charlotte loved all of the dinosaurs and she loved that it was in 3D. As a Mom it was a very touching movie and perfect for the Thanksgiving and Holiday Season. It was all about togetherness and what was really important in life….Your Family. I can’t wait to see it again and neither can my girls!”-Briann

The Good Dinosaur gets Bragging Rights!
“The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.”-Disney Pixar
