I was so excited to see Despicable Me 2. I love the first one, especially the Minions. Despicable Me 2 is a great family film that both adults and kids will enjoy.
In this movie, Gru is recruited by the AVL (Anti-Villain League) to help them to discover and capture an evil villain who has stolen a secret formula. His partner is Lucy, a newbie in the AVL. Hilarious antics ensue. The voice acting is great especially Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig as the 2 leads. They had fabulous chemistry together and great comedic timing. Although the plot is a bit predictable, this movie was laugh out loud funny. I was laughing the entire movie. Once again, the best part of the whole show are the Minions. I absolutely love those yellow guys! I am excited for the Minion movie that is going to come out in a couple of years. Make sure you stay through most of the credits for hilarious Minion fun.
If you are looking for a great family film to see this 4th of July week, Despicable Me 2 would be a fabulous choice!
