My son is obsessed with all things LEGO these days. We have several LEGO® video games and he enjoys playing them so much. Of course he loves building things with his LEGO® play sets and to top it off we just finished planning a trip to LEGO®land California! He is super excited to go there (and so am I), we have never been. What a fun adventure it will be for our little family.
Recently I was introduced to the LEGO® YouTube Channel which has over 500 videos for kids and is adding more each day! I knew right away my son would be a huge fan of this channel. So I created a playlist just for him from the Official LEGO® Channel, I call it Bug’s Favorite LEGO Videos, check it out. It has a ton of LEGO® videos that are perfect for a boy (Star Wars, Batman, Ninjago). But don’t worry, LEGO® also has videos that girls will love as well (Disney Princess). I love that it is really easy to create a fun list of videos for your child. My son felt so special as we made his playlist because it was his own “special video list”. Another huge plus to creating a playlist of LEGO® videos has been seeing the smiles and laughs that come as he watches. As a mom I love seeing him giggle and smile and I see a lot of this as he watches his LEGO® playlist. Some of his favorite videos being the fan submitted videos that show the LEGO® toys in action as they play out little scenarios and stories. They are very entertaining, I find myself getting pulled in and watching whole videos before I even realize I have, LOL.
But my favorite thing about the LEGO® videos and the custom video playlist we made is that we can access it from anywhere on my smartphone or my son’s tablet. It is so nice to have when we are out running errands and he is bored. I just turn on his LEGO® playlist and he is entertained for the whole shopping trip. He just sits quietly in the stroller or shopping cart with his tablet and headphones watching the videos. I love that it continues to play through the videos on his playlist one after another. So I don’t have to help him start a new one after each ends. It’s great and has been a life saver on busy errand running days! It’s even nice as I sit at home working cause he can sit next to me and watch his playlist as I work, it gives me some time to get things done.
