I attended an advanced screening of this film. All opinions are my own.

I have been excited to see Captain Marvel. I have been waiting for Marvel to do a female led superhero film. After seeing, it wasn’t my favorite Marvel movie but it is still very well done!
I loved the whole cast! I thought that Brie Larson was perfect as Captain Marvel. I loved the strength and vulnerability she brought to the role. She is a great superhero for girls to look up to. I also loved Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. It was fun to get more into the backstory and beginning of this character as well. I thought that Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson had a great buddy chemistry with each other.
I thought that the plot was very clever. It is hard to say much without giving away any spoilers. I loved all the 90s references, jokes, and the fantastic soundtrack full of 90s hits.
This movie is rated PG-13 “for sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and brief suggestive language.” I think if your kids have seen the other Marvel movies, they should be okay seeing this. I thought that this movie was definitely more mild with the amount of violence and language than some of the other Marvel films.
Make sure that you stay through the credits for 2 additional scenes, which includes information that will be important for Avengers: Endgame, coming out in April. It made me even more excited for it! The movie also has a fantastic tribute to the late Stan Lee that I loved.
Captain Marvel is a great addition to the MCU Universe. Go see this movie!
