Leah has been so excited this year because they have been learning about the Solar System as school. SmartLab Toys sent us several items to review including the Star Dome Planetarium, Solar System Adventure and even the Fashion Studio!
I have expressed before that I love when Leah can find a toy that uses her imagination and is educational. Leah has been learning about the plantes, stars, and outerspace at school. In fact she picked out a Space Book from the Book Fair this year! I couldn’t wait to show her the new Star Dome Planetarium. What is so cool is that it includes a sheet with all of the constellations, which Leah is looking at right now from her bed! She has been loving looking at the stars right from her bed.
I really love that she is learning and now loves science toys! She has been asking questions about the stars and constellations that she sees which is great!
“Experience the galaxy inside your room like never before! Set the LED-powered planetarium on the three-foot-tall stand for an uninterrupted 360-degree view. Glow-in-the-dark star maps allow young astronomers to track 28 constellations in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres without a pesky flashlight.
Components:
- Planetarium (includes Northern and Southern Hemispheres)
- Double-sided glow-in-the-dark star maps
- 3-foot-tall stand with glowing zodiac constellations
- 8-page book” (SmartLab Toys Website)
We also received the Solar System Adventure which includes a model of the solar system and you can make your own NASA’s Mars Rover! Leah loved building this with her Dad and was asking questions like crazy! Why is the Moon so Small, How many Moons does Earth have compared to Saturn etc. She love playing with the Mars Rover and pretending it was heading to the entire Solar System!
“Young astronomers explore the solar system and construct their own paper-craft model of NASA’s Mars rover. Snap together the light-up model of the solar system, label the planets, and use the fact-filled poster to discover unique features of each planet. Then punch out and assemble a rolling replica of NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity. Bonus—the light-up sun can even be used as a night-light!
Components:
- 21-piece snap-together light-up solar system model
- Planet label sticker sheet
- 18 plastic Curiosity model pieces
- 10 punch-out Curiosity model pieces
- Assembly instructions
- Solar system poster” (Smart Lab Toys Website)
