My little Charlotte is 3 and is going through tons of big girl stuff lately. She recently was put into her big girl bed and with that comes a disturbed bedtime routine. Bedtime used to be so easy, I would put her in her crib and get her up in the morning when she said she wanted out. I was also able to do nap time really easily. Now our routine has gone all haywire! The new and improved My Tot Clock is here to save the day!
What I love about My Tot Clock is how easy it is to use. The face plate comes off easily and underneath is where all of the buttons are for the controls. There are 5 buttons on top that are labeled with different stages and of course are color coded! “Illuminates 5 colors to manage all important Tot Time: Blue for Bed Time, Yellow for Wake Time, Cyan for Nap Time, Green for Fun Time, and Red for Thinking Time” (My Tot Clock Website) Each one of these buttons can be programmed with times and to start and stop.
Before I started using the My Tot Clock, Charlotte would come into our room sometimes at 5am and tell us she wanted to watch a show. I would have to explain that it’s still night time and she needs to go back to bed. This concept is sometimes hard for a little one to understand. I also had a hard time with nap time which I was calling quiet time. Charlotte needs a nap still but refuses to go in her room or will go in for 5 minutes and get up and say she is done. With the My Tot Clock, Charlotte now knows when the clock is blue it’s bedtime, when it’s yellow she can come out of her room and get Mom or Dad, when it’s cyan it’s time for a nap. It has been working great!
I also love that Charlotte can’t mess with the time on her own. She doesn’t realize that the face plate comes off and that’s where all of the buttons are located!
