I was very excited when I found the KidCo Angle Mount Safeway G2101 Gate, it is the only gate that allows you to mount it when the mounting points are not straight across from each other. This is perfect for staircases and banisters that don’t line up perfectly straight. Right off, it was simple for my husband to install the wall hardware for the gate. It is nice that it also has the option to add an extension (sold separately) for staircases and openings that are larger (up to 63”). A great feature is that you can remove the gate completely leaving just the wall hardware in place. Then it is simple and easy to put the gate back on when you need it again. This is nice for times when you need to have the gate out of the way (moving things, etc…)
The gate is easy for my husband and I to open but not for the kids, which is perfect! I like that it clicks into place when locked so you know when it is properly locked. It also has a stop that prevents the gate from swinging out over the stairs making it a perfect top of stairs safety gate.
I really love this hardware mount baby safety gate and highly recommend it.
