I am a worry wart mommy when my children sleep as babies. Always nervous about SIDS and if I should or should not put something in the crib with them. A big problem is always during the cooler months and blankets. When I was asked to review the Summer Infant SwaddleMe WrapSack I was more than happy to accept. Although my son is closing in on his first birthday fast and does not like to be swaddled, he is still a baby and needs something to use as a blanket to keep warm at night. I ordered the larger stage 3 which was for baby that sleep transitioning out of the swaddle stage 1 or 2 and like to sleep with their arms out instead of wrapped in.

The cloth that the Summer Infant SwaddleMe WrapSack is made out of is thin and really soft. Once we got Grayson wrapped in it he almost immediately calmed down. He was really content and comfortable. He just laid there for a few moments stroking my hand and looking around quietly. I was happy because the WrapSack is thick enough to keep him warm and comfortable but it was not so thick that I had to worry about his over heating. My children are like miniature heaters when they sleep. They always radiate warmth so I always worry that they will get too hot. This material is a breathable, soft, thin and comfortable enough that I was not overly concerned when I put him to bed in it. I really appreciated the zipper at the bottom for diaper access so that I did not have to unwrap the whole thing to get him cleaned up. I think Grayson also appreciated that perk! Especially when he was tired. I even started to use the WrapSack as an extra layer when it was cold downstairs from the door being opened often while my husband was doing work outside. It was comfortable and snuggly for him to have an extra layer on that would not fall off or get blown off. I got some cute photos of him hanging out on the couch with us while wearing his SwaddleMe WrapSack!
The Summer Infant SwaddleMe WrapSack can be used for more than just in the crib at night but it certainly helped me sleep a little better knowing that he was safe and warm while wearing it. I was actually surprised at how soft the Velcro area was as well. I had used a swaddle blanket before but the Velcro was so hard and uncomfortable that it used to make Grayson very cranky when he wore it and actually rubbed his neck and arms red a little. I love the way the Summer Infant SwaddleMe WrapSack is made and how well Grayson acted while he wore it.
