Every child loves candy and mine are no exception to that rule so I was delighted to accept the offer to review the New Holiday Radz, Jingles and Pep. I am sure you all have heard of Radz. They are a new interactive type of candy dispenser. Growing up I had PEZ dispensers, where the heads popped up and out came a bite sized hard candy. Now they have Radz. You pull the hat backwards and out pops there tongue with a small candy on it. Its really cute and my kids are really enjoying collecting them all. Thats not the only difference though between Radz and the candy dispensers from when I was young. Radz has a whole online community of games, forums, and lots of fun!
We received a package that the kids could not wait to get into. Inside we reveived one Pep and one Jingles Holiday Radz characters. There was also 2 lanyards that they could be attached to and carried around with. There was also 2 refill packs that had sunglasses that fit on Jingles head and the head of the other Radz toys. The little candies were like tiny hard tart candies. Each Radz toy comes with a code that is unique to the each character. So that you can take that number and go online to the website (www.radzworld.com) and register your candy dispenser there. From there the fun really takes off. You can do so much online it takes the whole toy to a new level of fun and also makes collecting them that much more fun for the kids.
The neat part about the website is that when you first go onto it you will see a link that says just for parents. I always check those links out because I normally think its directions for how I am to help my child learn something from the website. This page is set to explain what Radz is to parents. It explains what content is shown on the website and what the kids will be able to do. The page explains the videos the children can watch, the arcade filled with games, and that there is an art gallery where the children can even create and enter their own Radz artwork. It really helped me understand a little better so that I did not have to sit and monitor what the kids were doing on that site. I felt better about what they would be exposed to while playing with their Radz toys online.
The toys are cute because their hats are what comes off of them in order to fill and refill them with candy. The hats can actually be switched between characters too. I noticed that when I was not paying attention and put Peps hat on Jingles by accident during a refill session. After you put the candy in the hole in their heads you put the hats back on and give a small twist to secure them. Then when you want a piece of candy you pull the hat back and out pops the tongue with a candy on it for your children or yourself to enjoy! We really enjoyed the games on their site and making some artwork together. I would definitely recommend this as a stocking stuffer. It’s definitely more than your normal candy dispenser and its really good clean fun for the kids!
