Before I even get into how awesome my new stocking hangers are, I have to tell you that Rob of Lumber & Littles is seriously the nicest guy ever. Lumber and Littles is the reason I love Etsy. Real people, using real materials, to make things for me. Because they are far more talented than I am.

I have never, in my remembering years, lived in a house with a fireplace. It’s quite sad, really. Well, I mean, in “First World Problems” world. But I have always disliked not having a place to put stockings. I’ve used tacks to put them on the wall, but then that leaves marks, as we definitely will not keep our stockings hung year round. Some years I’ve simply just not put the stockings out for decoration. (Boo!!!). And some years I’ve just laid them out. None of these were great. So, as you can imagine, I was SUPER excited when my Lumber and Littles Christmas Stocking Hangers arrived. First of all, are they not just completely genius? Totally solves my problem. Well, other than the crackling roar of a fire… but you know, there’s always the yule log TV. Even if you are one of the lucky fireplace/mantel owning people, you still may struggle with how exactly to hang the stockings. I just love how this leaves no marks on the house and is easy to put up and take down. (Like, as easy as it gets.) They are very sturdy and well made. He stains them to the color of your choice. You’re gonna be able to pass them down to your children. Whats not to love?
