Leah and Charlotte love to play make believe! At first it was always princesses and fashion show. But lately I have been noticing how Leah is growing up and wants to play superhero and other things just like the boys. Lottie Dolls sent us a great Doll and an extra outfit to review that really embraces the fact that girls can do anything that boys can do.
Arggg Mateys! We received Pirate Queen Lottie and she is set sail to take everyone’s Loot! I love how Leah jumped right in and didn’t care that Pirates are normally associated with Boys. I have always tried to teach her that Girls can do anything Boys can do and if a Boy wants to do Ballet or like Pink then that’s ok too! Leah really loved playing with the new pirate Lottie Doll, she is so excited to gift it to Charlotte for Christmas! This makes the perfect gift, Lottie Dolls are designed for ages 3+.
What I really love is that there are so many fun and unique dolls to choose from. There is Robot Girl Lottie, Lighthouse Keeper Lottie, Kawaii Karate Lottie, Snow Queen Lottie and lots more! I really like that Lottie is promoting girls to reach for the stars and their full pottential by studying ” S.T.E.M. – science, math, technology and engineering playing with Butterfly Protector Lottie (all dolls priced $19.99) may inspire a love for nature, experiments and science. For a strong mind and strong body, girls will find intrigue with Kawaii Karate Lottie. Unconventional career paths can be found in Pirate Queen Lottie, not a current career track but a path that shows that women can do anything men can do! Right matey? And Robot Girl Lottie is a whiz at the science fair. An interest in robotics could happen by playing with this adorable toy!” (Lottie Dolls website)
Who says that girls can’t be a math, tech wiz like Robot Girl or show their love for science and look cute doing it too!
We were also sent a really cute extra outfit and we loved going from Pirate to…Princess! I love that extra outfits that can inspire girls from a young age.
“Imagine a childhood with no stereotype genders. Boys enjoy cooking and ballet while girls pursue the toughest math classes. Adjectives like pretty, popular and princess are erased and replaced with strong, smart and a bit bold. The rethinking of how boys and girls are “supposed” to act, think and behave starts with their toys. One British company, Arklu, has put the power of girlhood into a 7½” doll collection called Lottie™ that’s aimed at ages 3 and up. Here, a fashion doll can be fervent, feisty and of course fun — just like little girls.”(Lottie Dolls website)
The Lottie dolls retail for $19.99 and can be purchased at www.lottie.com/us/
