The aptly named DESTRUCTION series features four very sturdy board books where readers can follow along as a building is imploded, a car goes into the crusher, a wrecking ball destroys a wall and tires are shredded to bits. Crush It!; Knock It Down!; Blow It Up!; and Shred It! all feature big, bright images and movable parts that allow the reader to blow it up, knock it down, crush and shred it — perfect for little ones mesmerized by destruction!
Where were these books when my boys were really little? They would have been perfect! But nonetheless, I was still really excited to review the Destruction series of sturdy books for boys. They were well loved by my buddies, even though they’re past the age of completely destroying books. Honestly they’re even interesting to me as an adult! They have real life pictures that really got my boys attention. I think they’re favorite was “Blow It Up”. Seriously, what boy doesn’t love watching how things get blown up? Shredded? Knocked down? Crushed? These books are sure to entertain any toddler or preschooler. There’s tons of activities for little fingers- sliding pictures around the page for more excitement. And the good news? They are nice and sturdy, ready to withstand whatever “destruction” your child gives it. For years, and through all your children. They’re also a nice big size, nothing like snuggling up with a great big book! And how cute is that yellow hard hat? My boys were using it to blow up their own block towers!
