Busch Gardens
Tampa has so many different themed parks and Busch Gardens is one of them. This is an Africa themed park and you have nine roller coasters and two water rides at your disposal amongst many other attractions.
The park is divided into areas, and the entrance is Morocco. You can stop by Sultan’s Sweets and the Zagora Cafe and treat yourself to some interesting candies. If you don’t like that, you can go to an outdoor Marrakech theatre. Either way, you will have a tremendous amount of fun.
If you wish to provide an extra dose of enjoyment for your children, wait for a train that will drive you through areas. The Serengeti Express has multiple stops and it is the best way to explore Busch Gardens.
Big Cat Rescue
People at this rescue center devoted their time to rescuing wild cats and providing them with rehabilitation. It is located in Citrus Park in North Tampa and it is one of those places you can’t skip.
This is a unique opportunity to see different kinds of wild cats. They provided a rescue home for binturongs, bobcats, Geoffroy’s cats, leopards and many others. Also, they organized kids and private tours, so if you want to be the only one there make a reservation in advance.
ZooTampa at Lowry Park
Similar to the previous suggestion, there is a ZooTampa at Lowry Park. This is one of the best places you can visit with your family. It was declared the number one family-friendly zoo in the whole US by Parents Magazine. There are more than 1,300 animals so make sure you have enough time if you want to see everything.
It is divided into sections, so you will be able to explore the Asian Gardens and see Indian rhinoceros, Malayan tigers, Komodo dragon, etc. or you could go to The Florida Wildlife Center and familiarize yourself with red wolves, West Indian manatees and alligator snapping turtles.
Needless to say, those are not the only two sections. Aside from that, you can go to Primate World, Wallaroo Station Children’s Zoo, Safari Africa and many others. There isn’t a better way to spend quality time with your family than in nature, surrounded by exotic animals.
Adventure Island Water Park
If your family is a fan of interesting water adventures, this will be an absolute treat. It features 30 acres of water rides, dining, and other attractions that will provide you endless fun. There are five different pools, so you can go to Splash Attack, Endless Surf, etc. You can also have a ride on Runaway Rapids that has five individual slides, whatever pleases you the most.
Take your kids to an adventure and allow them to experience that adrenaline rush in one of three children’s areas that are provided.
Tampa Theatre
If you came here seeking a calm and stress-free vacation, there are a lot of places for you to go. Tampa Theatre is one of them and this is one of the most impressive places in the city. It is a landmark of this town, located in the Uptown District.
If you decide to go there, you will be able to choose between a broad range of documentaries, foreign and independent films. The building itself looks extraordinary and when you enter inside you will see a courtyard in a Mediterranean style filled with flowers and statues. And that is not the only surprise you will have. Instead of regular ceilings, there is a nighttime sky that has floating clouds and twinkling stars.

Glazer Children’s Museum
Tampa is famous for its museums. There are so many of them and if you prefer this type of entertainment you will have the time of your life. In this article, we wanted to focus on one specific museum. This is a facility of 53,000 feet and it has a lot to offer.
It is an interactive museum where children can discover and learn through play. Place where your kids can develop their imagination even more, learn new things and connect with others. They also organize 90-minute play sessions twice a week so don’t forget to add that to your calendar.
Amalie Arena
Tampa has to offer something to sports fans too. Amalie Arena is a place that is used for basketball games, ice hockey, football, and different concerts. So whether you want to go to a game or listen to some of the amazing singers, Amalie Arena is a place for you.
Tampa’s Sidewalk
This town is home to the biggest sidewalk in the world. It is called Bayshore Boulevard and you will have an amazing 4.5 miles of the walk until the end. It is an ideal solution for a Sunday morning when everything is peaceful and easy. Take your kids, grab an ice cream and enjoy the long walk. You can start in downtown Tampa, pass next to the beautiful Hyde Park and continue your walk towards the Gasparilla Pirate Boat.
