First there’s an innovative pillow that is designed in collaboration with orthopedist to offer a lot of benefits for sleep – honestly, it’s incredibly comfortable and the design is just amazing it allows for you to lie down in such a way that your skin if you are a side sleeper it won’t get compressed. Your face won’t get pressed as you’re sleeping so as a result if you’re a side sleeper you won’t wake up with that puffiness or a lot of wrinkles or creases from the pillow. And you know it’s always a nuisance.
Your face is resting during the night and that’s the best time for retinoids, such as tretinoin and/or retinol. But you have to be careful because to harsh synthetic retinoids can cause all sorts of skin irritations, such as tretinoin or retinol purge. Therefore, choose gentler alternatives, vegan and natural retinols are the best. The more natural skincare you use, day or night, the better.
My personal story with being a former stomach sleeper and how I used to grind my teeth in my sleep and wake up with kind of a puppy face and I had to train myself to sleep on my back. This pillow would have been a savior in that situation as it got a unique anatomical shape. Developed in collaboration with an orthopedist that provides you with a physiologically correct body position during sleep. And it is great for both back sleepers as well as side sleepers – you really comfortably sleep. It is a nice memory foam that molds to your head and you can even get a silk pillowcase for it if you like. But really, it’s the overall pillow it’s all that offers the most benefit. It’s like sleeping in one of those small cubes you know like when you go to a spa and you lie there on the table. How relaxing it is, it’s that same kind of perfect ergonomics for your sleep.
And moving into the vegan skin care routine – I always start out my skincare routine at nighttime with and oil cleanse to remove my mascara and water-resistant sunscreen. You guys know I put a lot of water-resistant sun screen on throughout the day so I like to take that off and I use a cleansing oil. I put it on my drawing face but first I just put a few drops of water in my in my palm of my hand and then I mix the oil and pat it over my face. Finally, for a more “inside out” approach, drink a smoothie with around 10-15g of collagen daily for an added boost to skin firmness and radiance.
