{ Waterpark at The Depot }

Price: Daily passes: $20. They can be purchased at either front desk (Renaissance or Residence Inn) or directly at the Waterpark. Children under 2: Free with paying adult

Oooooh my goodness. The Waterpark at the Depot. The words “we had a blast” do not begin to describe how much fun we had. The boys were in heaven from the moment we walked in to moment I drug them out kicking and screaming. {quite literally.} They don’t know how to swim yet, so this was an absolute perfect waterpark for their age/skill level. All around the train was shallow water, and they were able to go inside the train and slide down without me going in with them. If you have a toddler I would probably follow them in, but with older kids you can still see them and watch from the deck. For older kids there’s a larger waterslide (have to be 4 feet tall) and a pool area with a fun log to get on/fall off, and basketball hoop. My boys had zero interest because they were SO obsessed with the other areas. They loved just the little spouts of water, and were pretending to be Power Rangers fighting against the water. =) Every once in awhile the choo choo whistle starts blowing, and you know there is about to be a TON of water splashing down from so many different areas!

These are the little cubby areas. How cute? Made to look like a little train station and town. Adorbs. There isn’t a real locker room, just bathrooms with a few stalls and a shower. Next time we go I will have them bring minimal stuff (aka, shoes and not boots), and maybe wear their swimsuits under their clothes for easy changing. The whole pool area is small enough that I felt safe leaving my purse and stuff in the cubbies and able to keep an eye on it.

Ahhh… the hot tub. Seriously gorgeous enough to pretend you’re at an exotic location. You can sit in the hot tub and watch kids in the front area of the train, and you better believe I parked myself there and en.joyed. One thing was that the boys definitely got cold in the water after a long time of playing, but they were able to sit on the edge of the hot tub and stick their feet in to warm up. We didn’t bring our own towels, but I would suggest bringing some for the kiddos so they can really warm up.

 

 

 

 

Upper level has a snack bar, tons of tables to sit and relax, and an arcade area. There’s also beer and wine available, obviously I did not partake in that activity, but I’m just sayin’, maybe next time…

 

 

 Fav Features: 

• Wonderful place to go for toddlers and preschoolers- It’s not huge and overwhelming. Huge waterparks and toddlers/preschoolers are scary. This is the PERFECT size and there’s lots to do for younger and older kids to provide TONS of entertainment!
• The hot tub is bomb.
• Snacks, relaxing, and arcade available upstairs
• Great place for a birthday party
• Train theme is as fun as it is adorable
• Perfect way to beat the winter blues!
