It’s back to school time again! Who’s excited? I know I am. I love summer as much as the next girl, but I also love fall, routine, apple orchards, and the kids back in school!

I was so, so excited when I found out that Staples was sending me an Apple TV to celebrate back to school! This may not be the first thing you think of when you think of back to school, but it is a great tool that I know our family will use.

Being that Apple TV is similar to Roku, my favorite part is the AirPlay Mirroring- you can “mirror” your iPhone, iPad, or Computer. That is great for homework! Especially if your kids are working on a project together with a team- They can easily watch the same videos, look at websites, etc. They can use YouTube or Podcasts, or they can turn the radio on to some classical music to help them study!

And when all the homework is done, Apple TV is a great way to unwind. It’s perfect for family movie night- I love that any movie you have on digital download on your iTunes is right there, available to watch! No more messing around with DVD’s. =) It also has all your iTunes music, so you can have a family dance party, or set the mood with some great background music when you have company. We were able to have my grandparents over the other night, and I used the AirPlay Mirroring to watch some old videos of my boys that I’d posted on Facebook- we were all laughing and reminiscing. It was wonderful.
