I received these products for my review. All opinions are my own.
My sweet little baby girl is already 5 months old, boy how time flies. Before we know it she will be crawling all over the house. It is time for us to start baby proofing the house. First on my list are Child Safety Locks for the cabinets.
Adoric has two different types of child safety locks and here are my thoughts on each:
Baby Safety Magnetic Cabinet Locks
I love these safety locks so much. I love that they don’t require any drilling or screws. They use 3M adhesive tape to adhere to the cabinets, which means you won’t be damaging your cabinets. They also come with extra adhesive in case you need it.
And they are super easy to install. I was able to have it on my cabinet in about 2 minutes.
These locks are unlocked on the outside of the cabinet using a magnet key. You can keep the key up high using the included mount (which uses 3M adhesive tape) or you can stick it to the refrigerator up high.
Unlike other locks on the market, these locks can be unlocked when you don’t want to use them. So you can have them in place for baby when needed but unlocked for convenience. (Think Grandma’s house, Grandma can have the locks on and then when baby goes home turn them off. That is so much more convenient than Grandma having to deal with locked cabinets all the time, or us worrying about baby’s safety during visits.) To unlock, just flip the switch on the bottom. When you are ready to use them again just switch it back to locked.
Baby Safety Locks for appliances and drawers
These locks like the ones above, also don’t require drilling and just adhere with 3M adhesive tape. These are really great for keeping baby out of appliances like the oven, refrigerator and closets.
You can adjust the length to what you need. Just make sure that you figure out the length you want before you snap the end piece on. Once that is snapped on it can’t be moved.
To unlock you just press the button and pull out. To lock it, just snap it back on.
I have also put one of these on our outside garage refrigerator since the door won’t stay closed on its own. This works great to keep the door closed.
Things that are Brag Worthy:
- Keep baby safe from dangerous items, cleaners and chemicals
- Quick and Easy to install
- No need for drilling or screws
- Won’t damage cabinets or furniture
- Magnet locks open with a key
- Appliance locks are adjustable to fit where you need them
- You can keep the cabinet unlocked when you don’t need it locked for baby.
I am super happy with these locks and they are definitely the best child locks I have ever used.
