Most of us rely heavily on our cars. Without them, getting the kids to school, doing the family shop and running errands becomes far more difficult. Even in areas where there is a good public transport network, often, the timings mean that you cannot always use it.
So, you need to take care of your car. To keep it running properly, so it is always there when you want it. Below, are details of some apps you can use to help you to do that.
Download a car wash app
It is important to keep your car clean and tidy. So, download and use a car wash app. Most local car washes have them now. They enable you to see, at a glance, what appointments are available. There is no longer any need to waste time driving around the various car wash facilities in your area trying to find one without a long queue.
In addition, a lot of car washes provide special offers and loyalty schemes for customers who use their app. So, potentially you could save money as well as time.
Gas apps
But, if you are really interested in saving money, it is a gas app you need. Using them you can find the cheapest fuel in your area. To save the most money don’t wait until you have no choice but to fill up. Instead, keep an eye on the price and when it is low enough top up your tank with that super-cheap gas.
Just be careful not to drive too far out of your way to do this. There are several gas apps for you to choose from. But, I quite like the gas feature that is incorporated into the Waze mapping app. It enables you to see where the gas stations are located along the route you are travelling. You can also take advantage of the “Waze only” deals they make with some gas stations. Use the information in this article to decide which gas app is best for you.
Vehicle check and servicing reminder app
Carrying out a vehicle check every few weeks is something everyone should do. Checking the oil and tires will enable you to catch up on all sorts of issues at an early stage. For example, if one or two of your tires are showing signs of uneven wear you know that something is amiss. In all probability, something in the suspension system is out of kilter. This gives you the chance to get your car to the garage before things get worse and something actually breaks. Taking this approach will keep you and your family safer as well as help to reduce your repair bills.
If you tend to forget to do these checks or are always sending your car to its service late, use an app to remind you. The FastField app is good for vehicle checks you should be doing yourself. And the aCar app is good for reminding you of services and helping you to keep track of mileage and fuel consumption.
The above are just suggestions. New car apps are being released all the time, so if these apps do not work for you don’t worry just keep looking. Pretty soon, what you need will become available.
