I attended an advanced screening for my review. All opinions are my own.
“From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past. ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John Kamen, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Randall Park, with Michelle Pfeiffer, with Laurence Fishburne and Michael Douglas.”-Marvel Studios
I have been so excited to see ANT-MAN AND THE WASP. After seeing the movie, I loved it!
I really like the first Ant-Man movie and I thought this movie was better than the first. This movie was absolutely hilarious. I was laughing during the whole film. It felt good to have a lighter Marvel film after how heavy Infinity War was. This movie explains where Ant-Man was during the events of that film and explains his absence.
I thought that the cast was great. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have such great chemistry together. For me, the real scene stealer was Michael Pena as Luis. I loved him in the first film and loved him even more in this one!
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is rated PG-13 “for some sci-fi action violence.” There are scenes with punching, guns, and some scary moments with the villain. If your kids have seen the other Marvel Cinematic Universe films, they should be okay seeing this one.
I loved ANT-MAN AND THE WASP. I will definitely be seeing it again! Make sure you stay through the credits for a couple of addition scenes. One of them is pretty important for future films in the franchise.
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP gets bragging rights!
