This is a sponsored post for Parent’s Choice Formula through Mirum. All opinions are my own.
Probably the biggest thing I wasn’t prepared for when motherhood was so wonderfully bestowed upon me, was all of the choices I would have to make for my child. Some of the choices are easier than others. But with all of the choices I make, the common thread, is my fear of making the wrong ones. I always want the absolute best for my children and some of the heavier choices I have to make can be daunting and guilt ridden. Am I making the right choice? Is this the best? Could I do better? Could I do it differently?
The truth is, maybe I could have done better, or made a better choice. Sometimes looking back I see things differently. But in the moment, I know that I made the best choice for my child under the circumstances I was in. Now that my third child is here, I am finding ways to let go of the questions and doubts I have, and trust my “mama instincts”. As moms, we are the ones who know our children best. As long as we are doing the best we can, we can’t ask for anything more from ourselves. Our choices matter.
The choice of how you feed your baby is an important one, and even more, it is a very personal choice. There are so many factors that come into play, and ultimately only you know what is best for both baby and yourself.
I love that Parent’s Choice Formula is spreading the positive message that each mom’s choice matters. It is easy to quickly judge someone’s parenting choices. But without understanding why the mom made the decision in the first place, you simply can’t know if it was the best choice. We are all doing our best, and letting moms know that their choice matters is very iportant. I love seeing moms build each other up and encourage one another regardless of their differences and varying journeys.
So, whether you are breastfeeding, formula feeding, or a little bit of both. Your choice matters and you rock mama!
