The Lone Ranger Film Review~ See It Now In Theaters!!

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/ Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice-taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption. I am a big Johnny Depp fan so I was thrilled to see The Lone Ranger.  I had fun watching this movie and I thought that Johnny was great!

I was expecting this movie to more serious than it really was, it was actually pretty funny.  It is not meant to be taking seriously.  Overall, this movie felt a lot like Pirates of the Caribbean but with cowboys and Indians.  Johnny Depp’s character of Tonto reminded me a lot of Jack Sparrow.  I did feel that the movie was too long with a running time of 2 and a half hours.  It definitely needed to be shorter.

This movie has a lot great action in it.  I loved that many of the stunts used real people and not a ton of CGI.  Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were great together as Tonto and The Lone Ranger.  I would love to see them together in another film.

Although this movie has its flaws, I had fun watching The Lone Ranger and would recommend it for its great action and great performances.

The Lone Ranger gets bragging rights!

The Lone Ranger is rated PG-13 and is now playing in theaters.  For more information about The Lone Ranger you can go to Disney’s official website for the film.
