Easy Tips for Waking Up Earlier

Getting out of bed in the morning never gets easy. You’re leaving a place of warmth and comfort to go out into the rush of hectic mornings. But waking up earlier can allow you to get more things done before your day really gets started so that you can reserve more time in the evening for unwinding.

Whether you work at home or in an office, the sound of the alarm clock isn’t always welcome. However, you can decide how you handle this experience. Done right, becoming an early riser could be easier than you imagine.

Getting up earlier than you do now may seem nearly impossible, but you’ll be surprised at how simple the changes are. Transform your morning so that you wake up earlier, and have more time to prepare for the day ahead.

1. Prepare Your Coffee the Night Before

Breakfast may be considered the most important meal of the day, but what is it without coffee? And while getting out of bed may not be fun, knowing that a cup of joe is waiting for you could give you the boost you need.

Set everything you need out the night before. This way, making your coffee is as simple as pressing a button.

When it’s time to get a new coffee maker, invest in a replacement to improve the taste. After all, getting up earlier to be greeted by a poor cup of coffee doesn’t seem worth it. If you’re not sure which to get, consider buying a Smeg coffee maker. For a slightly higher price, you get better quality and more versatility.

2. Set Your Alarm Earlier Than Your Wake Up Time

When you have more time before you have to get up, your routine doesn’t have to be so rushed. You can linger in bed for a few minutes to gather your bearings. Have a second alarm that signals you when to actually get out of bed and start your day.

Even if it’s just a few minutes, you can use this time to reflect and meditate, enjoying the benefits of meditationbefore your day truly begins.

3. Select Your Outfit the Night Before

The fewer decisions you have to make in the morning, the easier waking up will be.

If you lay out your clothes the evening before, you can put as much time and thought into it as you want to. This will make your outfit more coordinated, helping you put your best foot forward.

Then the next morning, you can put on the clothes you enjoy rather than stressing about an outfit.

4. Put on Some Entertainment

Music makes everything more enjoyable. Figure out what works best for you. You might prefer slow, relaxing music or something upbeat. Listening to something you enjoy will greatly impact your behavior and determine how your day goes.

5. Take a Shower or Run a Bath

Once you’re out of bed, bathing will give you the wake-up you need to get going. If you love baths, a nice soak in the tub could be your reward for waking up earlier.

Being in the warm water will wash the sleep off and keep you from falling back into bed to catch some extra zzzs. You’re bathed — now it’s time to get dressed and take on the day.

Rise and Shine

When you start your day earlier, you can make more time for your interests before the day even starts. That could be reading, working out, or slowing down and relaxing. Your emotions will be more composed, and your mind will be clearer. So wake up earlier and see if being a morning person has the benefits you’re looking for.
