When I first saw the trailer for 80 For Brady, I thought that it looked like a super fun movie. I was even more interested once I found out that it was inspired by a true story. My mom and I both had fun and enjoyed 80 For Brady.
For me, one of the main reasons this movie worked was the cast. Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field were all perfect together. You could believe that they had been best friends for years. These ladies all had wonderful comedic timing. I think that these 4 actresses need to do another movie together soon!
I really liked how this movie portrays all the excitement and traditions around the Super Bowl. Some of the funniest scenes take place at the NFL Experience. There is also a lot of love for thr Patriots in this movie. If you are a fan of that team, you will enjoy this film even more.
This movie is rated PG-13 “for brief strong language, some drug content, and some suggestive references.” Content-wise, I think that this movie is appropriate for 14 and over. I really feel that the intended audience for this movie is adults though. I am not sure how much teenagers would really enjoy this movie.
Overall, I had fun watching 80 For Brady. If you need just a fun, not very serious movie, and you love football, this would be a great choice.
