Clutter doesn’t happen all at once. You start with the best of intentions; “Let’s keep things neat,” and “A place for everything and everything in its place!” are your battle cries every day, and it works.
Until it doesn’t.
You wake up one morning and realize that you’re now living in a home that seems like it has several homes’ worth of “things” in it, and your battle against clutter has been lost.
Good news! Things are not as bad as they may seem, because when a battle is going poorly is when a good commander calls in reinforcements. Personal organization services, such as Eco Modern Concierge, exist to be your backup in the fight against being crowded out of your own home.
It took me a while to come to terms with the idea that I needed help, and I thought it might help you decide if you could use some help. Here are 7 reasons I discovered people use to make the best decision they have in a long time. (Mine was number 3!)
1.Overwhelm
If you’re like
Going through the things you’ve accumulated is like taking a walk through your personal life; most items usually have some type of memory attached to them and can make an otherwise unnecessary thing hard to dispose of. Eliminating some of the things you’ve accumulated can feel like throwing memories away. A personal organizer won’t have the emotional attachment to the old, ratty bean bag chair you used to sit on with your ex to watch movies and can help you make the decisions that are best for you without emotions getting in the way. This leads us to…
3. A New Beginning
Life can be a bumpy journey, and things don’t always go according to plan. When things change in your life, it can be a good thing for you emotionally to change things in your home, too. Clearing out the clutter can help you clear your head, giving you a visible sign that you’ve turned a corner and are ready to start a new chapter in your life. Of course, not all major changes are surprises…
4. Changing for The Better
A new job, relationship or other changes can happen because you want them to. If you decide it’s finally time to work on your health and get in shape, doing the same thing with your home can be motivating. Nothing says that you’re changing for the better than being able to see your life improving in front of your eyes. Personal organization services can help you make that happen.
5. The March of Time
Some changes can be a mixture of happiness and sadness. For example, children have a habit of growing up and leaving for college or a career. When they do, making the transition to an emptier nest can be difficult. However, a personal organizer can help you sort things that have meaning from the ones that you don’t need any longer. Many people describe this time of life as the start of a new chapter in their life, where they get to enjoy the fruits of their labor, so why not start it on your terms?
6. The Start of a Family
Before your kids grow up and move on to start their lives, they enter your life in a whirlwind of love, happiness
7. You Don’t Want to Pack All That
Making the decision to move to a new home can happen for several reasons; a new job in a different location, relocating to a better school district, or making the jump from a renter to a homeowner. No matter the reason, most likely the thought of packing your life into cardboard boxes gives you a knot in the pit of your stomach. There’s good news, though; a personal organizer can help you sort through your belongings before you move, making the process easier. As a bonus, that means you’ll have a fresh start in your new home without the unnecessary clutter.

This list applies to those that are dealing with personal clutter at home, but while researching things to see if personal organization services were a good idea for me (they were!), I discovered something I had never thought of before.
Not only can a person or family find themselves choked with clutter, businesses can also have the same problems!
Years of paperwork, old equipment that’s no longer in use, even office furniture that has outlived its usefulness can take up valuable space in a business, but when faced with a choice between using the hours their employees are at work making the business successful or letting things pile up, many choose the second option.
A professional organizer is a great compromise, letting businesses reclaim square footage in their office at a far lower cost than they would expect.
Single, married, businesses…no one is immune to the problems that would lead someone to investigate using the services of a personal organizer. Ignoring the problems only make them worse, and sooner or later you’ll need to deal with them.
You don’t need to do it alone; there’s a personal organizer ready, trained and ready to help you just like they helped me.
