Dr. Mark Mahowald of who is the director of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center of Hennepin County has stated that sleep deprivation can actually lead to a pre-diabetic state, and often times sleep deprivation can actually cause high blood sugar and claims there is sufficient evidence that lack of sleep could cause some people to develop diabetes.
Sleeping too Much Can Also Cause Obesity
On the other side of the spectrum, getting too much sleep can actually cause your body not to burn enough calories throughout the day, which could possibly increase your risk of becoming obese. Let’s get off of the couch people and go out for some fresh air.
