I attended an advanced screening of this movie for my review. All opinions are my own.

I love feel good family movies, especially ones with animals. I have been looking forward to see A DOG’S PURPOSE.

My sister and I both thought that this was a cute movie. I loved the innocence and fun that Josh Gad brought to the voice of the dog in the film. It was really humorous to hear and see the world from a dog’s point of view.

I liked the different storylines in the film. This movie shows several different lives of the main dog. Many of these stories are happy but a couple of the stories do show the darker side of dog ownership. My favorite story was the life that the film focuses on most when the dog is named Bailey and is owned by a young boy named Ethan.

I think that this movie is a great family film. It is a film that parents and kids of all ages will enjoy. There are some dark and intense moments though. One of the stories is from the point of view of a police dog. This storyline may be scary for some kids.

Overall, I thought that A DOG’S PURPOSE was a really cute film and I had fun watching it.
