I was invited by Disney on an all expenses paid trip in exchange for my coverage of the #ThorRagnarokEvent. All opinions are my own.
As you probably already know, I attended the #ThorRagnarokEvent and as a part of that, I got to attend the World Premiere of the movie! Read all about my experience walking the red carpet at the Thor Ragnarok Premiere.
We saw the movie in the gorgeous El Capitan Theater and before the movie started the stars and creators of the film made an appearance on stage. It really hyped up the audience and then we were even more excited to watch the movie!
I will start by saying this is by far my favorite Thor movie. I was fully entertained from start to finish. I actually couldn’t believe it has a running time of 2 hours and 10 minutes because it didn’t feel long at all. Some long movies have that lag in the middle section, Thor Ragnarok does not. My favorite part of the movie is all of the humor that was added in. I wasn’t expecting to laugh so much, so I was very pleasantly surprised.
The cast is incredible. Jeff Goldblum is a very fun addition to the Marvel universe as Grand Master. Tessa Thompson plays Valkyrie and does a kick-ass job of it. I love seeing her as such a strong and independent women, it is a great character for girls to look up to. Cate Blanchett, as usual, is incredible as Hela. She is such a believable villain and a powerful presence. Mark Ruffalo is great as the Hulk and in fact, we see much more of the Hulk than in any other film and it is excellent. Chris Hemsworth, of course, is fantastic as Thor. And as you can see in the trailer, he gets his hair cut. But don’t worry ladies, he is still just as handsome as ever. Swoon.
It is also action-packed, and the special effects are really well done. It all looks believable and feels like the action is really happening in front of you.
Thor Ragnarok is Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense sci-fi action and violence. As far as kids go, if they have seen the other Marvel movies I think they are fine to see this one as well. It has violence and fighting, but no blood. There is a moment in the film when orgies are mentioned (but onlt mentioned, not shown) but it is so breif I don’t think the little ones will even catch it, especially since that word won’t mean anything to them. But, I just want to give you a heads up about that.
I highly recommend seeing Thor Ragnarok in theaters as soon as it opens Nov. 3rd. This is a Marvel film you aren’t going to want to miss. Tickets are on sale now so plan ahead!
I even got to have a scene in the film, take a look…
Okay so I am just playing around, but isn’t that such a fun clip to have? I am super excited about having the chance to create it while I was in LA!
