I attended an advance screening of this film. All opinions are my own.
“In Sony Pictures Animation’s HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION, join our favorite monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and catching up on their moon tans. But the dream vacation turns into a nightmare when Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all of monsterkind.” ©Sony Pictures
I really enjoy the Hotel Transylvania films. I think they are so cute. I was excited to see HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION. After viewing the film, I did not think it was as good as the previous installments. I still think kids are going to love it though.
I thought that the storyline was cute. It was fun to see the different things that monsters would do on a summer vacation. The movie also had a great message about the importance of family. I liked how there was some humor for the parents but there was more humor for the kids. The filmmakers were definitely catering more to the younger audience members.
Once again, I thought that the voice talents did a great job. You can tell that they have fun making these films.
HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION is rated PG “for some action and rude humor.” This movie is definitely for all ages. It would be a great movie for the family to see together.
Although I think kids are going to enjoy this movie more than the adults, I can recommend HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION.
