I went to an advanced screening, all opinions are my own.
Disney Alice Through the Looking Glass is Now Playing in Theaters!
My girls both are really into Alice in Wonderland. In fact Alice is one of my most favorite characters of all time. A few weeks ago I introduced the girls to Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp and they both LOVED it! So they were both really excited to see Alice Through the Looking Glass!
Alice Through the Looking Glass takes Alice (played by Mia Wasakowska) back to Wonderland through a mirror in order to help save herself and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp). The Hatter finds himself sad, depressed and lonely over the death of his family long ago. He longs to be with them again and asks Alice for her help! Along with all of her friends the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, the mouse and others, she sets out on her most exciting adventure yet!
My girls absolutely loved the movie, I will say there were a couple parts that were a little bit intense for them but overall they really liked it! Charlotte’s favorite character is the Queen of Hearts who of course makes another appearance and Leah’s favorite character was the Hatter. I loved this movie because it had a bit of silliness mixed with a really great plot!
It’s rated PG and I would say if your kids are 4 or 5 they are good to go see it. As always, if you are wondering if your child can see it, you can see it first and then decide. You know your child best.
“After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is depressed over the death of his family. Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).” (Fandango website)
