Giveaway tickets, my tickets, and my compensation for posting is provided by Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. I also attended an advanced screening of this film. All opinions are my own.
“’The Jungle Book’ is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, who embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known.”- © Disney
I love the recent live action retellings of Disney classics. After seeing the trailers, I was pretty excited to see what Disney had done with The Jungle Book. After viewing the film, I can say The Jungle Book was wonderful. Read my full review below.
I was able to take my family to see The Jungle Book today (it was my second time seeing it) and we all loved it! We were so lucky to be able to see it in Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. This is definitely the way to see it. The theater is amazing! Besides having reclining seats, the sound and picture is breathtaking. To add even more to your movie experience the seats vibrate which made the experience very cool!

The Jungle Book Movie Review
Visually, this movie is one of the most impressive I have ever seen. The visual effects are fantastic. Before seeing the film, I was worried that the talking animals would look fake. The animals are so realistic looking. You would think that they had found real animals that could talk and have human characteristics.
This movie was filmed primarily on a sound stage. The backgrounds look so real. I could not believe the movie was not filmed in a real jungle.
I am not a fan of watching movies in 3D but The Jungle Book is a must see in 3D. The 3D immerses you into the jungle with Mowgli. The 3D effects really add to the quality and experience of the film.
The cast in this movie is perfect. All of the voice actors are amazing. I loved that Bill Murray has finally done a Disney movie and the role of Baloo was perfect for him. He added a lot of charm and silliness to the character. I really loved Christopher Walken as King Louie. He definitely added some ‘swagger’ to the King Louie character. It was also fun to hear him sing as well. Newcomer Neel Sethi is a delight as Mowgli. I think he gave more depth to the character that is not necessarily portrayed in the animated film. This film is definitely carried on his performance and his performance is stellar.
I liked that this movie was faithful to the feeling and fun of the original Disney classic but if you are expecting an exact copy of the original animated film, you will be surprised. There are some changes in this version but I really liked the changes that they made.
Both of my children loves this movie, and my 3 year old remained glued for the whole thing. It is a great movie for the whole family to see. So be sure to take the family to see it, and see it in Dobly Cinema in AMC Prime if you have a location near you (see location list above).
I loved The Jungle Book and I think it is a definite must see. It is a fantastic film. Do not miss it!
