My girls are growing up in a world where technology is at the center of everything. Schools now have I pads instead of computers, the girls can check out library books online, watch shows, listen to music basically everything these days is does with some form of technology. Well now my family and yours can learn about the latest and greatest from Intel by visiting Best Buy!
Best Buy now has an Intel Experience that you can only find within select Best Buy stores. Best Buy has 50 stores across the United States that you can walk into and experience what Intel is all about. I am one of those people that can read about something online in depth and still want to go see it in person. I want something that I can try out, feel and touch myself. Best Buys new experience is just that. Intel and Best Buy have teamed up together to let you experience things you normally wouldn’t get to like seeing a 3D printer in action, Test Driving a Mars Rover and even becoming the coolest DJ around by learning to be a beat box master!
“While most (79%) of Americans are excited about the chance to learn and try out new technologies, half are frustrated by the lack of access to them beyond what they read or see in the media, according to a new study by Intel and Toluna.
That’s the reason why Intel and Best Buy are now teaming up to bring new Intel Technology Experience zones to 50 Best Buy stores in major markets across the U.S. The Intel Technology Experience lets customers – from tech enthusiasts to technophobes – play, explore, and be inspired by the power of technology with hands-on activities like 3D printing and virtual reality games. For many, this is the first opportunity to see, touch, and play with exciting new technologies they’ve only heard about.” (Best Buy Media Kit)
I recently took my family into the Salt Lake City Best Buy Store and was blown away by the technology of Intel happening right before my eyes. First off I must say that the experience I had was very cool. My favorite part was the 3D printer and seeing some of the creations that were made like an smart phone cover, mini robot, basket and more! Leah was fascinated by these items and by how the printer worked.
Leah really loved driving and racing the Mars Rover using just a fun app on a tablet! Charlotte and Leah’s favorite part though was the master beats and remix tracks by Ne-Yo as a digital DJ. Charlotte was actually able to do this part all by herself by sliding around and remixing all sorts of beats and songs!
The employee that was there was extremely knowledgeable and was really excited about the new Intel Experience at Best Buy!
“Averaging 240 square feet, the Intel Technology Experience will show customers the power of Intel: the technology behind these new, innovative activities is the same power behind the devices like tablets and laptops we love and rely on every day. Customers can build and print their own 3D robot, show off their racing skills on Mars in an augmented reality world, master beats and remix tracks by Ne-Yo as a digital DJ, and check out the latest PC and tablet devices powered by Intel processors.
The area will be staffed by specially trained Best Buy Blue Shirts to answer questions and help customers make the most of each area within the experience. Each season, Intel will refresh the venues with a new array of technology experiences.” (Best Buy Media Kit)
