Kindergarten is all brand new to me this year- and packing lunches had me a little stressed out in the beginning! The bottom is totally expandable, so you just tap it in or out, which is great for storage or after lunch to make it a bit smaller. The next layer is the freezer chiller, and then on top of that are 3 containers with lids. I LOVE that they fit right into the freezer piece, because this is usually the fruits and veggies, and I know they stay nice and cold until lunchtime. Then it all locks on top with the cover.
