“Labor Day” centers on 13-year-old Henry Wheeler, who struggles to be the man of his house and care for his reclusive mother Adele while confronting all the pangs of adolescence. On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, a man both intimidating and clearly in need of help, who convinces them to take him into their home and later is revealed to be an escaped convict. The events of this long Labor Day weekend will shape them for the rest of their lives.
I love movies. They are just such a great way to bring a group together. I am so excited to host a Labor Day Movie party!! I literally squealed when my party kit arrived. They literally thought of everything!
I did preview the movie for myself. It was so adorable! I loved it. I’m a HUGE Kate Winslet fan, and now I’m officially a Josh Brolin fan. They were great together. It’s a cute, unique story that I just loved. I am so excited to have the digital copy too, this is a great heartwarming movie to watch while traveling on my iPad.
I also LOVE that they sent the book! I can’t wait to read it, then watch the movie again! I also can’t wait to test the Peach Pie- I know its going to be delicious, and my friends are certainly going to love me!
