If you have followed any of the my posts then you have come to learn that my family likes to watch DVDs together and that my children love to collect DVDs to use with their portable DVD player during long trips. Since this makes my children happy I was happy to say yes when asked to review Peppa Pig My Birthday Party on DVD. All 3 of my younger children, ages 4 and under, love to watch peppa pig. I think my daughter may like to watch Peppa Pig a little more than my sons do but they all enjoy watching Peppa Pig together. This being the first ever nationwide retail release of Peppa Pig on DVD I was very excited to surprise my family when the DVD arrived at our door. I was not disappointed either with the smiles and hoorays I received when I unveiled their new addition to the family DVD collection!
Since this year Taylor, my son, is turning 5 years old he has been somewhat obsessing over having a birthday party. So when he watched the Peppa Pig My Birthday Party on DVD he especially liked the episode “My Birthday Party”. After watching that specific episode a few extra times he finally let us move on to watch the rest of the DVD together. Now I am all for how cute little baby pigs are and I like cartoon piggys as well BUT in my house I could honestly live without all the snorting that happens after my children watch Peppa Pig My Birthday Party on DVD. Actually it was making me laugh to hear them try to talk in the same accent and snort at each other. I had to call my parents to let them hear my children’s impression of Peppa Pigs accent because it was so funny!
Peppa Pig My Birthday Party on DVD has become a favorite, in my own motherly opinion, for me to let my children watch because of how they enforce family values to my children which is important to me. I love how they teach family love and trust as well as friendship all mixed up with laughter and fun! There are definitely worse shows out there for my children to watch and since they’re young enough for me to make an impression on them I choose family oriented television like Peppa Pig.
