I was really excited when I received some great educational products from Super Duper Publications.  I received the All About You, All About Me Fun Deck, the TopicTalk Conversation Card Game, the MagneTalk Early Classifying activity, and the Lids ‘n Lizards Magnetic Photo Vocabulary Game.  All 4 of these products are great tools to help children with conversing with others, learning vocabulary, and practicing sorting/classifying. These skills may be useful for a student who wants to become a pro essay writer and get good grades and study efficiently throughout school years.

The All About You, All About Me Fun Deck is a bunch of cards with conversation topics on them.  At first, the questions start off really simple with short answers and then get more complex.  An example of this is that one of the card has the question, “What is your name” and another one has “Tell Me About Your Brothers and Sisters?”  I am really excited to use this at the beginning of my next school year in a large group setting.  This fun activity will really help me to get to know my students and will also help the students get to know each other.  I really like that the deck comes with ideas for a variety of many different games.

The Topic Talk Conversation Card Game is a really fun, creative way to help students have meaningful conversations with each other.  One thing I really like about this product is that it has a fun game element to it.  Students not only have fun talking with each other, but special cards mix up the conversation.  I will say that this is a pretty complex game and it will take kids awhile to understand it all.  This game will definitely need to be adult directed at first.  This is a game I would play with older children.  The game recommends grade 2 and up.  I agree with that.  This would be really hard for my kindergarteners, even with an adult.

One of my favorite activities I received was the MagneTalk Early Classifying activity.  Right now in class, we are really working on classifying objects into different groups.  This is a great activity to help children with this skill.  I love that the MagneTalk Early Classifying is a magnetic board.  I will not be losing any pieces and they will stay put on the board.  I really like that the pieces use real everyday pictures.  It helps children, especially those learning English for the first time, connect more with the object.  I will definitely be using this as an extra support for my students who need help with sorting and vocabulary.

I also love the Lids ‘n Lizards Magnetic Vocabulary game.  It is another game that can be use for classifying and learning vocabulary.  Under each of lids, you put a picture of an object, it is a magnet that goes on the under part of the lid.  Under some of the lids, you put a lizard.  The student flip over the lids and tell you what category the picture goes into.  If the students picks a lid with a lizard and they tell you the correct category for the picture, they get to keep the lizard.  The person with the most lizards at the end wins.  I know that my students are going to love this game especially the boys because of the lizards.  This game also comes with some different ways you can play the game.
