The Boon Flair Pedestal Highchair with Pneumatic Lift looks really cool doesn’t it?! I definitely thought so. But I am happy to let you know that it is a lot more than just a cool looking highchair. It is quality and I find it to be extremely convenient. Here is why: This is a highchair with adjustable heights, because it has a pneumatic lift (like the chairs at the hair salon) so you can easily adjust the height with the push of a button. This is really nice because you can change the height for the counter top and then for the table. When Bug was a baby I wish I would have had the Flair, I never was able to seat him at the table with us because his highchair was stuck at one height (to tall for our table). The other thing I love about the Flair is that it is an easy to clean highchair. You can remove the pad, and wipe it all clean. I love that there isn’t anywhere for food to hide or get stuck in (no cracks). It comes with two removable trays that are dishwasher safe, I love this because while one is cleaning in the dishwasher you have another to use.
A couple things to consider, it doesn’t fold so if you are needing to put it away after each feeding that could be a problem. It is a little on the heavy side (because of the Pneumatic lift). And it has a small tray (about the size of a large dinner plate). While this may seem bad at first I have found that since the tray is smaller your child learns to contain their food/mess. This will make the transition to the table a much cleaner one. Also since the tray is small it fits very nicely in the dishwasher. None of these things are a problem for us, the benefits definitely outweigh them, I just wanted to mention them 🙂
